Request data deletion

You have the right to ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you. This page explains exactly how to do that, what we will delete, what we must retain by law, and how long it takes. The right to erasure is recognized under GDPR Article 17 (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA §1798.105 (California), and LFPDPPP Article 22 (México).

How to request deletion

Step 01

Send an email

Email privacy@rivelcompanies.com from the same email address you use to log in. This helps us verify the request without asking for additional documents.

Step 02

Use a clear subject

Use the subject line Data Deletion Request. If you want only specific data deleted (not the whole account), say so in the body — for example: "Delete my CRM contacts but keep my account."

Step 03

We acknowledge within 48 hours

Our team confirms receipt within 48 business hours. If we need to verify your identity (because the email does not match an account on file), we will reply with the minimum questions needed.

Step 04

Deletion completed within 30 days

Full deletion finishes within 30 days of the verified request, per GDPR Article 12. You receive a final confirmation email when the work is complete.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email, phone, avatar, preferences)
  • Workspaces, missions, OKRs, notes, journal entries, and content you created
  • Lysir AI conversation history and prompts you submitted
  • CRM data you owned (contacts, deals, pipeline stages, custom fields)
  • Marketing Hub content (campaigns, drafts, scheduled posts)
  • Integrations connected to your account (Kommo, WhatsApp Business, Meta Ads, Stripe customer link, Google Workspace, Slack)
  • Any uploaded files (images, documents, attachments) you stored

What we must retain (and why)

  • Financial records — invoices, payment records, and tax-relevant data are retained for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years under US IRS; 4 years under Mexico SAT; up to 6 years under EU member-state rules). This is required by law and cannot be deleted on request.
  • Security and audit logs — anonymized access logs, IP addresses scrubbed of identifying detail, retained for up to 12 months for incident response and fraud prevention.
  • Data needed to enforce our Terms of Use — if you have an open billing dispute or pending legal matter, we retain the minimum data needed to resolve it.
  • Aggregated and anonymized analytics — once your identifying data is removed, anonymous aggregate counts may persist in product analytics (these cannot be reversed back to you).

Third-party services connected to your account

When you delete your account, we trigger deletion on the third-party services we use as processors:

  • Stripe — active subscriptions are cancelled. Stripe retains payment records for tax/legal purposes per their data policy.
  • Supabase — your rows in our database are deleted. Supabase honors our deletion requests.
  • Resend — transactional email logs tied to your account are purged.
  • Vercel — request logs are rotated on a short schedule; your identifying request logs are not retained beyond 30 days regardless.
  • Meta / Google — if your visits to our site were tagged by their pixels, you must also request deletion directly from those platforms.

Frequently asked questions

Can I delete my data without closing my account?

Yes. In your email, specify what you want removed (e.g., "delete my journal entries" or "delete my CRM contacts only"). We confirm what is removable without breaking the account and what would require full account closure.

How do I cancel an active subscription before deletion?

You can cancel from your billing dashboard at any time, or ask us to cancel as part of the deletion request. Active subscriptions are cancelled before deletion to stop future charges.

What if I lost access to the email associated with my account?

Email privacy@rivelcompanies.com from any address and include enough information to verify you are the account holder (full name, approximate signup date, the last four digits of the payment method on file). We will reply with a secure verification flow.

Does deleting my account also delete data my team or clients shared with me?

If you are the workspace owner, the workspace is deleted. If you are a guest in someone else's workspace, only the data you personally created is removed; the workspace itself remains under the owner's control.

Will you confirm when deletion is complete?

Yes. You will receive an email confirmation listing what was deleted and what was retained (with reason). Keep this email for your records.

Can I cancel a deletion request after I send it?

Yes, within the first 48 hours, by replying to our acknowledgment email. After we begin the irreversible deletion job, we cannot recover the data.

Other privacy rights

In addition to deletion, you can also request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to specific processing activities. See the full list of rights in our Privacy Policy.
